Frequently Asked Questions
F.A.Q.
This longstanding cemetery features a charming yet uneven terrain with limited to no access for those with mobility concerns, while the downtown walk features common urban challenges of high curbs and uneven stairs. We strongly recommend sporting good walking shoes.
The Day of the Dead tour is a short walk through the old and uneven terrain of the cemetery. The downtown tour is a 2-kilometer walk from start to finish, with some stair elements to consider.
The tour’s intent is to share cultural education and understanding and is not focused on paranormal exploration or discoveries.
Children of all ages are welcome! The content is family friendly, and although some areas of the walk may be challenging for smaller children, it can be done with a little help. You are never too young for cultural enrichment.
We do not offer pick up from your location. The tours will start at either the local cemetery or Layla’s restaurant. The location and direction details of these popular and centrally located meeting points will be provided. Nothing is too far in this charming city, and you can easily walk from the cemetery to downtown Vallarta in 10 minutes (a nice walk, by the way!)
Although we have a few items for you to taste as part of our experience, it is not the nature of our walk to explore food or drink. (lemonade and water will be made available to our downtown walkers due to the distance)
Absolutely! Upon completion of the cemetery walk, you can either take a taxi or enjoy a brief 15-minute walk to the next meeting point. The contents of the tours vary widely from each other and are a joy to experience.
